Support Clan Colquhoun Today!
Dear Fellow Clan Colquhoun Member and Supporter,
As 2023 draws to a close, on behalf of the Clan Colquhoun International Society Leadership Team, I would like to thank each of you and our hard-working volunteers for your continued support and wish everyone a blessed Christmas Season and New Year.
2024 celebrates the CCIS 10th Anniversary as the International Society. With this comes many exciting events! We kick off our year with the Central Florida Highland Games in January 2024 and crisscross the United States through Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Idaho, Missouri, Virginia, Colorado, California and then across the pond to Loch Lomond.
Clan Colquhoun International Society (CCIS) will begin a new branding and fundraising program beginning in 2024 that will ensure that the CCIS will be able to continue supporting the vision of membership growth well into the future.
The CCIS is blessed to have the support of Sir Malcolm and Lady Colquhoun and Patrick and Lottie the Younger of Luss to ensure our continued bond to our lineage in Luss along the banks of the Bonnie Loch Lomond.
As the CCIS Leadership Team develops the pathway into the future, I want to draw your attention to a new aspect of the CCIS Leadership. The Loch Lomond Initiative is an idea concived by Executive Michael Lloyd-Stern in early 2016 and has grown into a most exciting program to unite all of the Loch Lomond Clans in order to increase membership, draw together a shared heritage and continue to educate our Clans to remember our Scottish History!
The 2024 CCIS future planned events include a Loch Lomond Initiative event with the Kilts & Cowboy Boots Gathering in San Antonio, Texas in April 2024 that will be attended by our Clan Chief and Lady Colquhoun; the Luss Games in 2024, Grandfather Mountain Games, and the Stone Mountain Games just to name a few. Also, the Luss Games in 2025 will be an exciting event we will describe in the near future.
As operational costs increase for the CCIS, I come to you all with the request to join our family clan and help promote and assist with funding our operation. The society is managed by volunteers. Member subscription dues are primarily used to host tents at Highland games and other international events. In addition to organizing annual Clan Gatherings and other events, CCIS will assist members with genealogical research. The membership dues are simply not enough to cover the costs of the yearly budget.
The CCIS has a multi-tiered contribution schedule. All of which can be found on the website. Please consider ticking the Donate Button and supporting the Clan Colquhoun International Society. CCIS is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization.
However, membership dues alone cannot support our continued growth. We are blessed with a board of directors and individuals who have all made enormous contributions toward our growth and success. In order to grow, we continue to need your support, not only as a member, but as a patron and the additional options found on the web page as well. Would you consider becoming a Clan Colquhoun International Society Patron by making an annual contribution of $500 or more? Your contribution is tax- deductible in the United States and can easily be made on our website at www.clancolquhoun.com – your name will also appear on the CCIS website as a patron!
Thank you again for your membership, support, and consideration to become a CCIS Patron Level, Tent Level, Event Level, Promotional Level, Pier Road Level, Loch Lomond Initiative Level, or Chieftain Level Sponsor. I hope to see you all at future CCIS events.
