A New Arrival!

The Luss Highland Games is a highlight in Patrick's calendar. He always loves attending clan events but nothing quite beats watching the traditional competitions on the estate's own games field. In 2011 Patrick had the honour of opening and officiating the games, on behalf of his father. This summer he will be repeating the duty and is wholeheartedly looking forward to another great day of caber tossing, piping and Highland dancing.

This year is particularly special for Patrick as he will be able to enjoy the day with his first born, Arthur Stewart Colquhoun. Arthur was born on the 19th of July last year and will be just shy of one year old at the 2013 Luss Highland Games. Arthur has already visited Luss many times, the first of which was to celebrate the opening of the stunningly renovated Loch Lomond Arms, when he was only a few weeks old. Just before Christmas a celebration of his Baptism was held at Luss Parish Church, this was an significant occasion for Patrick and his wife Charlotte as they see it as crucial that Arthur's involvement with Luss and the estate develops from a young age.

The Highland Games will be Arthur's first clan event and his parents very much look forward to introducing him to the clan members. He has already shown a fondness for the bagpipes so participating in the piped procession will no doubt be a highlight
